A Video Studio In Surrey?
That’s right folks towards the end of this year or start of 2020, there will be a brand new Film and Photography studio in the stunning town of Send, Woking. The studio sits on the bank of the River Wey, in a National Trust area, surrounded by fields and nature. This means it is away from the noisy traffic, sirens and constant building work that we are all familiar with when shooting in London studios.
The main studio will feature one Large 2000 Sq Ft space, which will have a large 180 degree white infinity cove, large enough to film and photograph vehicles. Above the white cove are 3 large truss beams, spanning the width of the cove, with 6 bicolour Space Force space lights to give you that perfect soft blanket of light needed for an even white. The access is fantastic, with a large double skinned rolling shutter door, which helps with sound, huge amounts of parking on site and space for large trucks and production vehicles outside. Inside the studios you will find a make up area, relaxing sofa area great for clients and 64, 32 and 16 amp power outlets for all of your power needs. All spaces have super fast wifi and CAT6 ports with a leased like gigabit connection. This is perfect for live streaming and uploading footage as you shoot.
As well as the large studio, we also have multiple other spaces in the building that are fantastic for filming. Pearl, Copal, Silver Birch and Trocus are smaller spaces in the 600-700 sq ft range. These are uniquely finished and built, inspired by German Berghuas architecture. In these spaces you will find large windows with awe inspiring views over the River Wey, exposed brick and metalwork, and responsibly sourced kite marked timber. These spaces are great for sound, and perfect for smaller shoots such as sit down interviews, headshots, shoots against colorama or backdrops, roundtable discussions and more.
When you need a bit of a break from set, or somewhere to have a spot of lunch, you are more than welcome to use any of the communal breakout areas. There is a small kitchen on each floor with Tea, Coffee, cutlery and crockery, a fridge and boiler quaker taps for instant hot water. On the ground floor there is a larger kitchen, multiple dining tables and seating areas for you to hang out on a zoom call, or get together and have a chat about how your day is going. If the weather is looking good, head outdoors and have a spot of lunch on the riverside. Watch the longboats and paddle boarders glide up and down the River Wey.
With every booking there will be a studio manager or assistant on hand should you need anything extra. Our team are extremely experienced in production, and spend their time bouncing between shooting on set themselves and managing the studio. If you need any extra equipment, we have an onsite hire company, Prelight Hire. Prelight specialise in Cameras, lighting, grip and sound equipment.
